Techno Trance
What plugins, sound samples, etc etc do i need to get started on making techno & trance with Fl studio 8?
Hey, so i just got this program. Im completely new.
What plugins, sound samples, ANYTHING can you suggest to help me get started in making some techno and trance.
I've heard of nexus. What is this? And where can i get this?
I've used FL Studio for years alongside Cubase, but i know nothing about Trance music. All i can suggest is some of the softsynth/VST instrument plugins i use, which are: Toxic Biohazard, Sytrus, PoiZone etc, but i believe these all come with the latest release itself [either in demo or full version form]. Don't underestimate the power of some of the built in plugs like: BooBass, Wasp and the TS404 Bass Synth, these are all extremely tweakable and can provide an endless array of sounds when coupled with a good combination of channel FX plugins [like EQ, Delay, Flange, Distortion etc].
For sound samples try searching for Drum Hits/Loops and the like on the net, find a site that caters to your musical taste and see what you can download [there are hundreds upon hundreds of FREE sound sample sites in google alone]. It all depends on whether you want to arrange someone else's loops or make your own from scratch.
Also try searching for a copy of "The FL Studio Bible", which should give you all the info you need on this programs flexibility and use.
