Just Kicks Hip
My hip sort of hurts after doing handstands in gymnastics?
I just started gymnastics this month but I'm getting the hang of everything pretty quick. I think once I perfect a few more skills im out of level 1. but the thing is, i always over kick when i do handstands, and when i dont over kick, for some reason after doing handstands my right hip (leading leg) always hurts a bit. i dont know if im stretching too much to make my legs straight or what but can anyone help? im not really super flexible (splits are still about six inches off the ground) so is that part of it?
well let me start by saying when you do a handstand and your leading leg is connected to your hip so when you swing your leg your swinging it out of place of you hip my suggestion is to not stretch as much try easing up on how fast your swinging you leg i mean to swing you leg out of place of your hip must mean you fast at it give your hip a little break then when you want to do handstands dont swing hard just swing accurate
